Our Company History

Home Chic opened its doors on July 7, 2007 in the small town of Mayville, NY, located near the northern tip of Chautauqua Lake.  Mayville may not be known for much beyond our insane snowfall amounts each winter, but nearby Chautauqua is home to world-renowned Chautauqua Institution, a bustling summer retreat for people from all over the world. 

Home Chic's driving desire was to open a store that became known and appreciated for its upbeat atmosphere, and its fresh and funky assortment of hip decor.  Searching far and wide, we strive to offer our customers beautiful, unusual and functional, as well as ecologically and socially responsible pieces for the home.  After our relatively short, and unbelievably exciting time in business, we feel like we are reaching our goals. 

In April 2008, Home Chic expanded its showroom, adding nearly 500 square feet of space.  The expanded space is gradually becoming home to a colorful and luxurious selection of bedding and bath decor.

In keeping with the tradition of adding something substantial for our customers each year, Home Chic is excited to have launched its website in April, 2009.  Of course we love to meet you in person, but if you just can't make it into the store, our website is the next best thing.  We hope you agree.
